Negev Live is a week-long series of events in the Negev (Israel’s southern region) about placemaking and active citizenship.
The series of events brought together leading local officials, leading philanthropists, representatives from North American Jewish communities (such as Philadelphia, Miami, Montreal and others), academic institutions, placemaking entrepreneurs, government professionals and decision makers.
The goals of the Negev Live events are to expose the innovative placemaking work being done in the Negev, allow its growing ecosystem of placemaking professionals to learn from leading experts, and promote the process of mainstreaming placemaking as a leading development practice in the Negev.
Partners in the Placemaking Week include the Jewish Federations on North America, the Negev Development Authority, the Ministry of Defense, The city of Beer-Sheva , Ben Gurion University, Sapir College and more.
